Having lost two opponents ahead of UFC 290, Australian Jack Della Maddalena will return to the octagon this weekend at UFC on ESPN 49 in Las Vegas against US debutant Bassil Hafez.
The organization of the fight was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
26-year-old Jack Della Maddalena, going on a series of four early victories in the UFC, was supposed to share the octagon with Sean Brady, however, the American dropped out of the UFC 290 tournament and was replaced by league rookie Josiah Harrel, who was removed from the fight for medical reasons less than a day before the fight.
31-year-old Bassil Hafez won two consecutive wins under the Fury FC banner, knocking out Evan Cutts in the last round in the third round.
Recall that the UFC on ESPN 49 tournament will take place on July 15, and its main event will be a women’s bantamweight bout between Holly Holm and Maira Bueno Silva.
