Popular Russian heavyweight Alexander Emelianenko commented on the fight with blogger Yevgeny Ershov, in which he won by submission on the arm in the second round.
“The fight went great, you all saw – I won, I won,” Emelianenko said in an interview after the fight. “I’m still getting in shape, I’m still young and in my prime. Khryunov promised me a fight in August, and I still don’t know who the fight will be. I don’t care who I fight. I am ready to fight and box.”
Recall that the fight, which led the next show of the REN TV Fight Club, ended at the 20th second of the second round after Yershov moved the opponent, gave his hand to the painful hold, and signaled the surrender.
At the same time, in the first round, the referee allowed the heavyweight who crouched near the net to recover and continue the fight, instead of fixing the blogger’s victory by technical knockout.
After the event, Yevgeny Ershov and the organizer of the show, Vladimir Khryunov, stated that the fight had no script and that it was not fake.
