Having won an early victory over Adrian Yaniz, the sixth number of the bantamweight division of the UFC, Rob Font wants to see Petr Yan, who occupies the fourth position in the ranking, as his next opponent.
“I would immediately say that I want to fight Petr Yan, even though he suffered several defeats,” the American said in the next edition of the MMA Hour program. “Also, I’m not averse to having a rematch against Chito Vera”
“A fight with Chito or with Yang is going to be huge. And I definitely don’t want to fight anyone below me in the rankings again. Whatever happens, I’ll be ready. Looking forward to the name of the opponent. I hope it will be Peter Yan. Going up against him in Boston would be insane.”
Former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan suffered his third consecutive loss in March, losing a five-round unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili. Prior to that, the Russian lost by split decisions to Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley.
