Former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueredo will return to the octagon on July 8 at UFC 290 in Las Vegas against Angola native Manel Cape, ranked ninth in the division.
The organization of the fight was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
The last four fights in the UFC, Deiveson Figueredo held against Brandon Moreno, in confrontations with whom he lost his championship belt twice. The last fight with the Mexican, which was unifying and took place in January of this year, ended for the Brazilian with a defeat by technical knockout after the doctor examined his closed eye at the end of the third round and recommended the referee to stop the fight.
Manel Cape is on a three win streak in the UFC, knocking out Audie Osbourne and Zhalgas Zhumagulov and also winning a unanimous decision against David Dvorak.
