Former UFC lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, will enter his thirtieth fight in the organization on November 12, which will be the last of his professional career.
The American will say goodbye to fans at UFC 281 in New York, and his opponent will be compatriot Chris Gutierrez.
40-year-old Frankie Edgar has won just one win in his last five bouts and is currently on a two-loss streak, losing by knockouts to Cory Sandhagen and Marlon Vera.
31-year-old Chris Gutierrez, on the contrary, has not lost in seven fights, and after a draw with Cody Durden, he won three victories in a row, in the last fight he finished by technical knockout of Danaa Batgerel.
Note that the famous Madison Square Garden arena, which will host the numbered event, is Edgar’s home, so he can count on great support in any outcome of the fight.
