Fiziev reacted to Gaethje’s words about McGregor

Despite the fact that Justin Gaethje continues to defiantly ignore the challenges of Rafael Fiziev, the seventh UFC lightweight does not lose hope of getting the American as a rival.

Another reason to remind himself for “Ataman” was an interview with Gaethje, in which he shared his thoughts about the failed duel with Conor McGregor.

“If you remember, I beat Cerrone, and I was ready to fight McGregor, but he chose Cowboy,” Gaethje said in an interview with MMA Fighting. “Apparently, USADA has not tested him for a long time, and now he is taking steroids. Then he didn’t want to fight me because he wasn’t sure of himself. Maybe steroids will give him confidence and he will agree to this fight now. I don’t know how everything will be, but I would like fair competition.”

“USADA tested me six times this year and I am ready for fair competition, bro,” Fiziev wrote on the social network, quoting the American. “Unless you’re worried about my skills making it dishonest”

In July of this year, Rafael Fiziev extended his UFC winning streak to six fights, knocking out Rafael dos Anjos in the fifth round, and Justin Gaethje made an unsuccessful attempt to win the UFC lightweight championship belt in May, losing in the first round by rear naked choke to Charles Oliveira.

According to available information, the fight between Fiziev and Gaethje was in development for December, however, the American fighter refused to fight Ataman at UFC 282 in Las Vegas.
