In a dominant style defense of his title against Adam Boric, reigning Bellator Featherweight Champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire became the highest paid competitor at Bellator 286 held in Long Beach, California.
According to the payroll released by the state Athletic Commission, the 35-year-old Brazilian is the sole leader of the payout list with a fee of $150,000.
Featherweight Jeremy Kennedy came in second with $110,000 to his bank account, while four other fighters, including Adam Borich, AJ McKee, Aaron Pico and Juan Archuleta, were $100,000 richer.
Russian participants of the event Islam Mammadov, Khalid Murtazaliev and Vladimir Tokov received $80,000, $40,000 and $23,000, respectively.
