Khamzat Chimaev responded to criticism of Khabib Nurmagomedov

“I ate too much tiramisu, that’s why my fight with Tony Ferguson was canceled five times,” the Chechen fighter wrote on the social network.

“We have said ours, let the whole world speak now!” he added.

A few days earlier, the former UFC lightweight champion, at a fan meeting in the UK, said that Chimaev’s indecent gestures at the weigh-in were unacceptable for a Muslim, and also expressed the opinion that there weren’t enough people of the same faith who could point out mistakes and give advice.

Recall that this is not the first time that a tense situation has arisen between Nurmagomedov and Chimaev – in May last year, a fighter representing Sweden provoked a public conflict with a Russian, promising to “break” him in a duel.

Last weekend, Khamzat Chimaev, due to an overweight of three and a half kilograms, lost the fight against Nate Diaz, but chalked up his sixth victory in the UFC, finishing Kevin Holland in the first round in the intermediate weight category.
