UFC Hall of Famer on Khamzat Chimaev

Former UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, believes that after the events of last week, Khamzat Chimaev has been assigned the title of the main supervillain of the strongest league in the world.

“The UFC has officially got a new supervillain,” the Brit said in a recent episode of his podcast. “Of course, I am talking about Khamzat Chimaev, Borza. When he went out to fight, I never heard such indignation from the crowd. They booed me too, but they were flowers. He didn’t care about any of this – he kept saying that he would kill right and left, and you know, I fucking liked it. This creates excitement and attracts attention. He’s a real bad guy, straight out of a James Bond movie.”

At the same time, a member of the UFC Hall of Fame pays tribute not only to Chimaev’s fighting skills, but also to his psychological fortitude.

“Chimaev should have shown such a performance. They canceled the press conference because of him, he didn’t make the weight, and they shook up the whole card. All this because of Chimaev. If in such a situation you go out and show a boring fight, or lose by decision, it does not look very good. But he, being in a stressful situation, under huge pressure, came out and simply destroyed Kevin Holland.

Recall that last weekend at UFC 279 in Las Vegas, the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev won the sixth victory in the organization, already in the first round finishing with the choke of the American Kevin Holland. A day earlier, the Chechen fighter failed to cope with the weight race and lost the fight against Nate Diaz.
