The head of the organization Mayrbek Khasiyev said this in an interview with the Ushataika channel.
“There will definitely not be a fight,” Khasiev said. “We discussed this topic for a long time. Rashid said that because of what had already happened, he felt very uncomfortable, and that it was not possible for him to fight Bagov or anyone else. The money for the first fight was not paid to them, and will not be paid – this topic is closed.
According to Khasiev, most likely, they will do without a quarterfinal fight at all, and in the semifinals Artem Reznikov will meet with an alternative opponent.
“Now we are thinking about it and are inclined to believe that, most likely, we will no longer have a quarter-final fight, because we can’t find worthy fighters in any way. We were even ready to raise the fee several times, but we can’t. People refuse because there is not enough time. Therefore, we will just have a semi-final fight with Reznikov, for which we already have a candidate. From what we have, this is the best option.”
Recall that Eduard Vartanyan and Yusuf Raisov will compete for the second ticket to the ACA lightweight grand prix final.
