All MMA News

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will fight his next fight at UFC 282, the organization’s final numbered event of the year.

“UFC 282,” the American fighter wrote on social media, adding an emoji with fingers crossed. “My goal and dream is to make my first heavyweight title fight look like my first light heavyweight title fight. Complete dominance”

At the same time, Jones did not specify whether former UFC heavyweight title holder Stipe Miocic or current division champion Francis Ngannou will become his opponent. Regardless of the opponent, the fight will be a title fight, because in the fight between Jones and Miocic, the organization planned to play for the interim UFC heavyweight championship belt.

As you know, at the moment, Francis Ngannou continues to recover from knee surgery, and there is no definite information about his return to the octagon.

Jon Jones, 35, last fought in February 2020 when he successfully defended his light heavyweight title against Dominick Reyes. After that, the American released the championship belt and announced his transition to the heavyweight category.

UFC 282 will take place on December 10 in Las Vegas, and the light heavyweight title rematch between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira has been announced as the main event.
