Reigning Bellator Featherweight Champion Patricio Freire will defend his title on October 1 at Bellator 286 in Long Beach, California against second-ranked Adam Borich.
The title fight will be the main event of the event, as officially announced by the representatives of the organization.
35-year-old Patricio Freire regained the title in April this year in a rematch with AJ McKee, winning a five-round unanimous decision. In July last year, the Brazilian lost the championship belt in the first round, losing to the American by guillotine choke.
29-year-old Hungarian Adam Boric is on a four-game win streak at Bellator, winning a unanimous decision over Mads Burnell in his last fight.
In the co-main event of the event, former Bellator featherweight champion AJ McKee will face non-top 10 divisional Spike Carlyle in the lightweight division.
