Former UFC welterweight contender Stephen Thompson is not the only fighter the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov would like to see as his next opponent.
“I’m not in a rush to get back and I plan to discuss it with my team, but I would like to meet Steven Thompson, Nick Diaz or Jorge Masvidal. I’m good enough to deal with them, and I’m ready to do it,” the 27-year-old Kazakh fighter said at a press conference after the UFC on ESPN 38 tournament.
As part of the event held in Las Vegas, the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov chalked up his fourth stoppage victory in the UFC, finishing with a guillotine choke in the second round of American Neil Magny, who occupies the tenth line in the UFC welterweight division.
