Dustin Poirier Says UFC Plans Fourth Conor McGregor Fight

All MMA News

Former interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Poirier hasn’t heard from the organization in months, but he doesn’t rule out Conor McGregor being his next opponent.

“I do not know what’s going on. Over the past two months, I have not heard anything from the UFC,” wrote “Diamond”, communicating with fans on social networks.

One of the fans suggested that the UFC is waiting for the Irishman to recover in order to assign them a fourth fight.

“Probably so,” the American fighter replied.

Last year, Conor McGregor lost twice to Dustin Poirier – in January by a knockout in the second round, and in July with a severe leg fracture at the end of the starting five-minute period.

Their first fight took place seven years earlier and ended with the defeat of the American by technical knockout in the first round.

After completing the trilogy with the Irishman, Dustin Poirier made an unsuccessful attempt to take the UFC lightweight title from Charles Oliveira, whom he lost by rear naked choke in the third round at the end of last year.
