Jon Jones estimates the chances of a return to light heavyweight

All MMA News

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who has been preparing to make his debut in the heavyweight division for two years, has assessed the likelihood of a return to his weight class.

“My light heavyweight candle went out – my last fight showed it,” the American fighter wrote on social networks. “But instead of being discouraged by the poor performance, I am excited about the new season. It’s a new energy and my time at light heavyweight is over, I see it more clearly today than ever.”

“I have been visualizing this for two years now, and I truly believe that the heavyweight championship belt is my destiny. It’s already destined. I just have to keep working and the rest will take care of itself.”

Earlier, UFC President Dana White announced that Jon Jones could be one of the participants in the fight for the interim UFC heavyweight title, which the organization plans to introduce in connection with the upcoming long absence of Francis Ngannou, who underwent knee surgery.
