Former two-weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo, who switched to coaching after retiring, is ready to train Khamzat Chimaev if the Chechen fighter claims the UFC middleweight title.
“I can’t train Khamzat Chimaev if he fights the Nigerian Nightmare, but I’m ready to train him if he fights the damn Israel Lasagna,” the Triple Champion told The Schmo Show. “I will definitely help you, but if you fight Kamaru Usman, I am out of the game. Then you are on your own. In any case, Khamzat Chimaev is a real threat, as is Gilbert Burns, and we will soon find out if Chimaev is who everyone thinks he is.”
Recall that at the moment Khamzat Chimaev is rushing to the championship gold in the welterweight division, and his next fight will be held on April 9 at UFC 273 in Jacksonville against Gilbert Burns, who occupies the second line in the division.
